When starting out in Dien Chan, one is tempted to turn to the cheapest products, often copies sold on general-purpose platforms.
But these plastic instruments or those made from dubious alloys do not produce the yin and yang effects that give the method its strength. Worse, some damage the skin or generate static electricity that disrupts the skin microbiome.
Authentic multireflex tools, designed to the original specifications of Prof. Bùi Quôc Châu, are made from noble materials: natural horn recovered from traditional agriculture, mimosa wood, bamboo, and high-grade metals.
Each piece is handcrafted, one by one, since 2011.
This is not marketing; it is the condition for the protocols taught at the ISMDC to work as intended.
••• Choosing a genuine multireflex tool means choosing to learn correctly from the very first gesture.
— Detectors, such as the nº101 and nº103, are the precision instruments of Dien Chan. Their metal tip allows you to locate sensitive bqc·points on the face and then stimulate them. These are the tools of the attentive practitioner, demanding the greatest gestural refinement and offering in return the most targeted results.
— Hammers form the family of percussive tools. The Little-hammer yin-yang nº128, compact and versatile, combines a yang rubber tip and a metallic head of soft mini-rods for complementary yin effects on the reflex zones.
• The Grand yin-yang hammer nº430, larger and more imposing, is the ally of experienced practitioners for working on major muscle groups and releasing deep tension.
— Rollers and rakes are the instruments of global care.
• The Yin-yang roller nº206 is the facial roller par excellence: its two tips allow you to switch from one effect to the other as needed.
• The Mini-yin rake nº219 acts gently on the reflex zones of reflex diagrams.
• The Yin rake nº416 relaxes the client's whole being in a few minutes of eurythmic movement across the skull.
— Specialist multireflex tools, finally, are the gateway to Chan❜beauté. The Beauty-brush nº252 and the Ovée de beauté nº373 in bamboo are designed for daily facial routines: radiance, firmness, drainage. They condense the precise gestures of Dien Chan into an elegant, portable practice that slips into any bag.
— The Yin rake nº416 is one of the practitioners' favourites, as it allows you to treat the general state before undertaking a targeted treatment. It is often the accumulation of daily stress that causes the blockages Dien Chan is so good at unravelling, and this Yin rake is the first gesture to remedy them.
— The Yin-yang roller nº206 is the roller that does it all. Its two tips allow you to work in both yin and yang on the reflex zones of the face. Compact, intuitive, immediately effective and beautiful.
— The Little-hammer yin-yang nº128 is far more accessible than the detector when one has not yet learnt to locate bqc·points. Its rubber tip stimulates (yang effect) and its metallic head fitted with soft mini-rods soothes (yin effect, through very light percussion). It is perfect for consolidating a protocol after working the reflex zones with a roller.
These 3 tools cover 70% of the protocols taught at the ISMDC. They are available on the DienShop.
— The Double yang ball nº410 is the body-work tool par excellence. Its horn spike balls stimulate the major muscle groups without ever aggressing the skin. It is used on the hips, legs and back; wherever a yin-type imbalance manifests and calls for an energising response.
— The Double yin ball nº411, by contrast, brings freshness and dispersion. Its rounded-tip metal mini-rods act without generating heat, ideal for areas contracted by stress or chronic tension such as the shoulder girdle or the neck.
— The Detector nº101 opens up a new dimension of precision. Its tapered tip allows you to stimulate the bqc·points of care formulas to consolidate results in depth. It is the instrument of nuance, the one that makes the difference in complex follow-ups.
These three tools are also available in the full DienShop catalogue.
• The imbalance is yin when it manifests as:
— a dull, cold or diffuse pain
— a sensation of heaviness or lack of energy
— general fatigue
→ A yang tool is used to restore balance
• The imbalance is yang when it manifests as:
— a hot, precise, acute or sharp pain
— a localised tension, a sensation of excessive concentration
— a state of stress or agitation
→ A yin tool is used to restore balance
In practice, the chosen tool should produce a pleasant sensation. It is the body's response that confirms you have made the right choice.
This permanent dialogue is at the heart of Dien Chan.
Since 2011, multireflex tools have been manufactured to his exact specifications, and no other manufacturer holds this certification. Our standards are extremely strict: the aim is to offer Dien Chan enthusiasts genuine premium instruments, comparable to works of art.
The materials are not an aesthetic detail; they are functional. Natural horn recovered from traditional agriculture possesses biological antiseptic properties and a vibrational frequency in harmony with the body's energy circulation. It does not produce static electricity, unlike plastic.
Natural mimosa wood and high-grade metals complete a selection of materials consistent with the principles of Dien Chan.
What can be found on certain platforms or at non-certified resellers are nothing but copies in plastic or synthetic alloys. Some even claim to use buffalo horn, yet every black tool in circulation is made of plastic, without exception. These instruments do not produce the desired effects, can disrupt the skin microbiome and sometimes damage the skin.
Each care kit offers you the tools that complement each other naturally, with the right yin and yang effects, along with explanations for using them from the very first day. You know what you are buying, why you are buying it and how to use it.
It is also a way to access several tools at a better value for money than purchasing individually, whilst benefiting from a coherent practice logic from the outset.
After each use, wash your tools in warm soapy water. For stainless steel instruments, cleaning between each person is recommended. Horn and brass have natural antibacterial properties that allow a simple rinse in most cases.
If a roller or sphere starts to squeak on its axis, apply a drop of vegetable oil to each end of the axis with a fingertip. For body models with tightly packed balls, use a soaked cotton bud.
Avoid overly aggressive products, strong alcohol and very hot water, which weaken the horn. Heated disinfection devices can deform your tools; these should be avoided.
To revive the shine of brass tools, submerge them for a few hours in a solution of water and bicarbonate of soda, then rub with a few drops of fresh lemon juice.
